Anime fans, get hyped! You can now experience everyone’s favourite Japanese film company, Studio Ghibli, beyond the screen by paying May’s Garden House Restaurant Bangkok, Thailand a visit.

The restaurant – named after the youngest of the two protagonists of Studio Ghibli’s 1998 classic My Neighbour Totoro – can be found in the middle of the Sukhumvit district,  an area famed for its exclusivity.

May’s Garden House Restaurant is the first ever standalone café to be officially licensed by the famous film company – even Japan only has one Ghibli-themed café, located inside the Ghibli Museum itself.

So what’s on the menu? Diners can expect traditional Thai food, Totoro and Catbus-themed desserts, Japanese azuki beans served in a bath of matcha tea and heaps more. There’s also an Orchid Glasshouse, Boat Water Pool, Library and halls for guests to explore jam-packed with Ghibli memorabilia to check out.
