Sydney Is Getting A Bottomless Turkish Feast Dedicated To Kebabs And Wine

All anybody ever wants, I kid you not, is a kebab. It’s a massive generalisation but you know that I’m right. Efendy in Balmain is has just propelled itself to hero status with its new bottomless wine and kebab nights. BLESS.

The Turkish restaurant kicked off this magical feast this week, and it’ll be available every Wednesday and Thursday from 5pm. For two hours, diners can tuck into a selection of delicious treats like adana kebabs, beef kofte, Turkish pizza and spicy ezme salad.

That’s a lot of food to get through, but you’ll be helped out by bottomless wine like your choice of Turkish red, white and rosé.

The food is all created in-house by head chef Somer Sivrioglu and embodies the restaurant’s ethos: “Efendy” is an old Turkish word that describes people with a traditional upbringing who adopt modern views. The food in this bottomless feast is a modern take on traditional Turkish cuisine.

If you want some winter comfort food that just won’t end (for two hours), the experience comes in at $60 per person, including drinks. You can book on the Efendy website.

The restaurant also offers a breakfast feast every Saturday and Sunday for $35 per person that comes with a selection of cheeses, olives, spreads, cold meat and sweet and savoury baked goods, plus Turkish tea and coffee.

Sydney’s also snagged a Tokyo-inspired alley dedicated to ramen and whisky, and the folks at Butter have brought back their legendary fried chicken ramen for winter. Don’t say this city doesn’t show you a nice time.
