Don’t Panic, But 800 Corgis Will Descend On Huntington Beach Today

Corgi Beach Day, Huntington Beach, California

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! “But AWOL,” we hear you say. “Easter has passed for another year and Christmas is still months away!”

But, you see, the most wonderful time of the has nothing to do with Christmas or Easter or any other national holiday, for that matter. Rather, it has everything to do with corgis. Hundreds of them. At the beach. In costumes. Together.

See Exhibits A and B below:

The aptly named Corgi Beach Day will see 800 very good boys and girls descend on Southern California’s famed Huntington Beach this weekend for one hell of a beach pawty.

Hosting is local corgi Mr Pickles, who’ll oversee corgi competitions like limbo, pie-eating and best butt (known on the internet as a “momo”). Bit, really, they’re all winners in our eyes.

The event is the work SoCal Corgi Nation and runs from 10am to 3pm on Saturday, April 7. But if you’re not soaking up the sun in the Golden State this time, don’t fret – the Corgi Beach day happens three times a year, so there’s plenty of time to start planning your next short-legged adventure.
