You Can Now Drink Beer While Playing In A Giant Ball Pit
Finally, someone has combined one of the best experiences from childhood with probably the best part of being an adult – ball pits and beer.
San Fran’s cocktail bar the Romper Room became a part of history last month by inviting a bunch of abiding adults to jump into a colourful ball pit with child-like abandon. Just look at how happy everyone was…
The mastermind behind the operation was Ryan Lum, of Forward Motion. Speaking to Mashable about the inaugural event, Ryan said the whole thing was (not surprisingly) a huge hit.
“One of the bartenders tossed a small green plastic turtle into the ball pit and announced that if anyone found it, they would get a free shot,” he explained. “It was also hilarious to see everyone dancing the Macarena, singing the Backstreet Boys, having ball fights with the upstairs crowds, forming conga lines, and [playing] a limbo game.”
Sounds just like your average 12-year-old-birthday, but, you know… with booze. Guests could submerge themselves in the ball pit all the while sipping on matching cocktails and beer.

For those of us who missed out on this pop-up event, never fear. Ryan will be taking all 40,000 of his colourful ball pit balls and heading to San Fran’s Monarch on April 28 for an all-out dance floor ball pit party.
