6 Delicious Ways To Have A Tipple On World Cocktail Day

If there’s one thing we all deserve today, it’s to celebrate the joyous occasion that is World Cocktail Day. Personally, I haven’t been jumping on any cooking bandwagons, but creating cocktails is really bringing me joy.

Is it because I’m rewatching Mad Men and cocktails make me feel like I’m being sophisticated? Maybe. But also they’re just tasty and any hobby will do at the moment, am I right?

Of course you don’t actually have to be making them yourself, especially now that so many of your favourite local bars are doing us a solid and bottling up their best cocktails for pick up or home delivery. If there’s one good thing to come out of lockdown, it’s this.

Here are 6 ways to indulge on World Cocktail Day 2020

To nab a free drink, go to the venue website for that week and enter the code #madeformixing.

On the other hand, why go out at all when your favourite small bars all around the country are bringing their best cocktails all ready to drink, right to your door? Details here.

#4 Get a subscription

Personally, I think this Sydney cocktail subscription service is genius. You sign up on a monthly basis, then get a different cocktail each Friday from a different local bar. Details here.

#5 Learn some cocktail history

If you’re a real connoisseur, or you just like having fun facts to surprise friends with at dinner parties (which some states are even allowed to have again now) you’ll love these facts about your fave cocktail origins. Details here.
