You Can Rent This Insanely Realistic Hobbit House On Airbnb
You can find some truly magical places to rest your head on Airbnb, from treehouse retreats to the closest thing you’ll get to Barbie’s Dream House. Now, you can take a journey to Middle Earth and live as the hobbits do.
While you won’t find this quirky accommodation in The Shire, its location sure is something to marvel at – it’s perched on the breathtaking Columbia River Gorge mountainside in Orondo, Washington.
The intricately designed shanty has space for just two guests, but boasts some incredibly homely features. There’s an open cobblestone fireplace, hand-carved wooden sinks and antique furniture, and flourishing garden beds.
The accommodation is fully heated, too, with a surplus of snug blankets to keep you warm in the winter months.
It’s important to note that if you do you choose to book during Washington’s winter, you’ll need four-wheel-drive to access the property as snow is likely from December to March.
Bookings start at around AU$645 per night and can be made via the listing. What’re you waiting for? Hobbiton awaits.
