Walt Disney World Got A Magical Makeover Ahead Of The Festive Season
The Happiest Place on Earth has wasted no time in decking the halls for the festive season.
With Halloween over for another year, The Happiest Place on Earth has wasted no time in decking the halls for the festive season. Walt Disney World’s infamous Cinderella Castle underwent a ceremonial lighting overnight, with Frozen sisters Anna and Elsa doing the honours.
In “A Frozen Holiday Wish”, Queen Elsa transformed the castle into a glimmering ice palace.
The castle lighting is akin to placing a star atop the Christmas tree at Walt Disney World, where the festive season runs from early November to January. It kicks off with Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, with a number of other shows, events and character meet-and-greets still to come.
The park has already been adorned with Disney-esque wreaths, baubles, lights and garlands, while Mickey-shaped cinnamon scrolls with red and green icing, peppermint red velvet cupcakes and peppermint ice cream sundaes will be available at the park until December 22.
If you’re headed to the Happiest Place on Earth for the holidays, consider splurging on the Ultimate Christmas Package, which is on offer for the first time this year.
Available to guests staying at the Walt Disney World Resort between December 21 and 26, the package includes five nights accommodation, tickets to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, exclusive nighttime access to Pandora: The World of Avatar, and exclusive holiday experience at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Christmas Eve dinner, and even a present delivered to your room on Christmas morning. The package starts at $3600 ($2775USD) for a family of four.
