Dogs Are Allowed To Stay At Disney World For The First Time

Goofy

They say the Magic Kingdom is the happiest place on earth, and after Disney’s latest announcement allowing our four-legged pals to tag along for the trip, we have no reservations.

As of today, dogs are allowed to tag along with humans vacationing at four Walt Disney World locations: Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, Disney Port Orleans Resort – Riverside, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort or the cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground.

While we personally believe the more dogs the merrier, guests will be limited to two canine companions per guest room.

At check in, pooches are treated to the whole kit and ca-poodle, with their very own Pluto Welcome Kit, including a mat, bowl, ID tag and more.

Apart from acquiring some fresh new accessories, pups will get the VIP treatment, including luxury suites, flat-screen TVs, playgroups, cuddle time and ice cream breaks. Doggos will have plenty of room to play in, with each resort providing easy access to grassed areas and pet relief areas.

Only good boys/girls who are well-behaved, leash trained and properly vaccinated are welcome within the kingdom’s walls.

It costs guests an extra $63 ($50USD) per night for their fur-babies to sleep over, or $95 ($75USD) if you’re staying at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort.

Even if you don’t have a dog to bring along, just think — the chances of you seeing a dog while you’re at Disney World are now significantly higher. That’s as good a reason as any to book a trip, we say.
