Virgin Australia Are Taking 20 Percent Off Flights Australia-Wide But You’d Better Be Quick
As Australia becomes more stable and border restrictions continue to ease, Virgin Australia has decided to drop fares by 20 percent on a host of domestic flights.
The only catch is that you have to use the Virgin Australia app and make your booking by 11:59pm on Thursday, October 8, unless the sale fares run out earlier.
The travel period is nothing to sniff at, either. You can travel any time between 12 October to 13 December, which includes a nice chunk of time from when Queensland will open its borders to NSW in November.
For the Queenslanders who live near or in Brisbane, Virgin Australia has partnered with the Queensland government to launch a sale fare of $129 on flights between Brisbane and Hamilton Island.

“We expect this service to generate $1.36 million in overnight visitor expenditure over the duration of Queensland Government support,” Queensland’s Tourism Minister Kate Jones said.

Virgin Australia have implemented a bunch of new safety protocols in light of COVID-19, including social distancing measures, increased hygiene and personal protection. You’ll also be sent a pre-departure COVID-19 health questionnaire that you’re required to fill out.
