Let Big Sur’s Luxurious New Glamping Set-Up Fuel Your Wanderlust

If one thing’s for sure, it’s that extravagant camp sites are here to stay. And the newest glampsite in Big Sur, California, is sure to draw a crowd.

The new Redwood Canyon campsite, part of Ventana Big Sur Resort, is tucked away among the forest trees along a rugged stretch of California’s central coast.

Later this month, the resort will re-open to the public after undergoing a multi-million dollar restoration, and the campsite has been kitted-out with some seriously swanky new editions.

Guests who opt to “camp” check in to one of 15 canvas safari-style tents, set in one of the most iconic landscapes on earth. But forget rolling out a swag – instead, guests are treated to a custom-designed mattress, luxury linens, running hot water, fire pits and even housekeeping services.

On top of all that comes with the chic new digs, campers will have full access to resort amenities, including the Glamping Bathhouse, which boasts hot showers, heated floors and sprawling marble vanities.

Camping is hard work, but no need to worry. After a long, tiresome day, visitors can cap off the night with a hot cocoa or tea, paired with a complimentary s’mores kit.
