Snaps Show The Beautiful Intricacy Of Uzbekistan’s Public Spaces

Since 2004, Bashar Tabbah has documented over 300 locations in 20 countries. Growing up in Jordan, surrounded by historical treasures, has fostered his passion for photography. On a recent trip to Uzbekistan, he captured the beauty of its rich cultural and religious heritage.

“It’s a land steeped in romantic mystery, the mere name of the famous silk road cities of Samarkand and Bukhara conjure up images of caravans and beautifully coloured cities,” he told AWOL.

If you’d like to see more of Tabbah’s work, his first book, A Map and a Lens: A Photographic Exploration of Jordan’s Religious and Cultural Heritage is available for pre-order, and will be released on January 9, 2018. Alternatively, you can visit his website.
