Universal Studios Are Opening An IRL Willy Wonka Chocolate Factory
If riding Simpsons themed roller coasters or buying your body weight in Harry Potter merchandise wasn’t enough to put Universal Studios on the bucket list, then this certainly will. They’ve announced that they’re opening an on-site chocolate factory.
The Toothsome Chocolate Factory will be joining the Universal CityWalk at Universal Studios Orlando and is being billed as a “savoury feast emporium”. Good lord.
Opening later this year, the Toothsome Chocolate Factory is a little bit 19th century-Steampunk. There’ll be towering smoke stacks, chrome gadgetry, unique servers wearing Steampunk fashion and heaps of delicious stuff.
The food is set to take classic dishes like steak, pasta and burgers to new heights with twists on old classics. But let’s not kid ourselves here, I can already hear you asking, “what about the desserts, AWOL… WHAT ABOUT THE DESSERTS!?”
OK, OK. Here’s a sneak peak of the milkshakes flavours on offer: the Chocolate x5 (chocolate spirals, choc chunks, ice cream, and whipped cream), the Espresso Buzzzz (coffee ice-cream and chocolate covered coffee beans) and the Bacon Brittle (bacon ice cream, bacon brittle, chocolate covered bacon and bacon caramel). Oh boy.
There’ll be salted caramel, chocolate brownie bark and s’mores-flavoured sundaes as well, with that last one featuring layers of chocolate ice-cream, chocolate sauce, marshmallow cream and graham crackers.
You’ll be able to watch these chocolate creations being made and purchase as much as you like from the restaurant’s retail shop as well.
