10 Of The Cutest Campervans You Can Hire To Road Trip Around Australia
In fact, Camplify (essentially Airbnb for campervans) reported a 125 percent increase in Winter camping holidays compared to last year — so just image what that’ll mean for summer.
As someone who joined in that winter camping trend, it’s a delight. We were able to kit out my friend’s car, but it’s not always possible. Plus camping gear can be expensive, so the fact you can hire an Insta-ready campervan kind of makes me happy. Camplify have shared 10 of their quirkiest vehicles with us for inspiration.
#1 Dolce Sole Camper (Burleigh Heads, QLD)
I rarely enjoy a bright yellow anything, except when it comes to cute vehicles. This adorable van has a custom vintage interior design by digital creators Tegan & Ned, keeping things cute, bright and breezy.
#2 Aalto Van Co // Sandy (St. Kilda West, VIC)
Ok, excuse me, but why is this whole set up more chic than my own home? This creation was built by a small Vanlife design and build studio from Melbourne.
#3 Henry (Sydney, NSW)
If you have a bed, you have a campervan, and this adorable gut gives all the beachy vibes. It might not have a kitchen, but it has plenty of under storage for your surfboard, bikes or winter snow equipment.
#4 Omeo (Brisbane, QLD)
If you’re someone who gets excited by funky amenities, this one will excite you. Like a Nutribullet, a French press, indoor and outdoor kitchens, a fridge freezer and reading lights. The owners are even happy for you to take it on a longer trip.
#5 Yugen, Olivia (Miami, QLD)
While the outside isn’t much to look at, inside is just about the most glampervan you’ll ever see. The double bed is a legit, pocket sprung mattress for one. And just look at that kitchen.
#6 Cosy Campers, (Yeronga, QLD)
Ok everybody stop, because this is the cutest campervan I’ve ever seen. It’s like a wood cabin on wheels. This converted Mercedes Benz is fitted with handcrafted, reclaimed timber and powered by solar panels.
#7 Mazzy The Van, Flinders, NSW
She’s a vintage beauty, and you may not be driving her, but if you book a campsite the owners will sully set her up at it for you — no towing, driving large vehicles or wrangling a setup in the dark.
#8 Hendrix (Coolum Beach, QLD)
You’ll notice a few vans from the Drifters for hire, and none are cooler than Hendrix — and automatic 2015 Toyota Hiace kitted out with hotel-quality bedding, a mini bookshelf, cards and games, Bluetooth speaker and coffee maker.
#9 Bilbo (Brisbane, QLD)
Even nicer than a Hobbit Hole, Bilbo is a lovingly restored and complete self-sufficient vintage campervan with a Bluetooth speaker, games console, board games and a fully equipped kitchen.
#10 Van Halen – The Campervan (West Beach, SA)
I mean, you know it’s going to be rock and roll with a name like this. This bad boi is completely insulated, fits three people and has plenty of storage space for all your goods.
