A Pop-Up Japanese Gin Bar Is Coming To Surry Hills In September

Longing to sample some of Japan’s finest gins here at home? Give your local a miss one night after work this September and get yourself to Tokyo Bird, Surry Hills while it hosts its chic-as-hell pop up gin experience.

We’re calling it the best way to spend an evening in Sydney this September.

The team at Tokyo Bird have teamed up with Roku, the boutique Japanese gin distillery to bring you a sensory experience, where you’ll have the chance to sample some of the brand’s finest varieties.

Roku gin is distilled in Osaka, and is constructed with six Japanese botanicals: sakura flowers, sakura leaf, yuzu peel, sencha tea, gyokuro tea (green tea variety) and sanshō (pepper).

On arrival, you’ll be treated to a signature Roku gin, which has been carefully paired with two canapés to showcase the gin’s complex flavours. Then, you’ll have the chance to try a specially designed cocktail, which is only available on the night.
