This Looks Like The Best Place To Have A Cave Rave

You’ve probably heard of the strange phenomenon of glow worms – they’re bugs that glow due to the process of bioluminescence – but did you know you can find a bunch of them lighting up a cave in New Zealand’s north island?

The Waitomo Caves are a located about two hours out of Auckland and are a must-see travelling through the misty isles of New Zealand.

This species of glow worm, known as arachnocampa luminosa, is found almost exclusively in NZ, and they’re known to inhabit wet humid caves. Visitors of the Waitomo Caves can take a boat ride through the grotto to view the starry wonderland created by the mosquito-sized glow worms. Pretty rad place for a cave rave, we reckon.
