This Hotel Made Of 70 Stacked Houses Is Instagram’s Dream

Visiting Amsterdam is like stepping into a world of whimsy – the bright and adorable houses in matching tones make the Dutch capital one of the most picturesque cities in Europe. One hotel takes it to the next level.

Inntel Amsterdam Zaandam looks straight out of a fairytale. The central hotel is made up of 70 stacked houses, all of which are true to the four shades of the traditional colours of the Zaan region where it’s located.

The hotel aims to connect Amsterdam’s long history to its present, making tradition trendy again. Five distinct types of Zaan houses can be found in the hotel’s façade, from labourers’ cottages to town houses.

All of the houses are various shades of green except for one striking exception: the blue corner piece, which is a reference to a painting by Claude Monet that he created during a stay in the region.

While the facade is traditional, the amenities are pretty modern, with a wellness club and a swimming pool housed within.

Six different room types are on offer, each featuring antique Dutch advertisements as wallpaper in an ode to the past.
