This Sydney Zoo Is Serving Up Bottomless Dumplings After Hours To Celebrate Lunar New Year

The worst part about going to the zoo is having to wait for people to move out of the way so you can see anything. The second worst thing about going to the zoo as an adult is feeling obliged to let all the kids in front of you when you’re not done looking.

WILD LIFE zoo in Sydney’s Darling Harbour is offering a fun experience that lets your cut out these worst things and even throws in dinner.

To celebrate Lunar New Year, you and your mates can book a table for an after hours look around the zoo, complete with 30-minutes of all you can eat dumplings — and yes there are also spring rolls and vegetarian options — plus drinks. The food is made onsite by New Shanghai, and to be honest they’re so lovely (the people and the dumplings).

You’ll get to eat either over-looking the crocodile enclosure, or next to the koalas. Either way, you can check out the zoo beforehand. I wasn’t quite given the right info, so just make sure you arrive 45-minutes before your dining session — don’t just take it as an option. They close everything while you’re eating, so there’s no going back.

Three 30-minute sessions will run from 5.30pm or 6.00pm from February 11 to 20. Tickets will set you back $80 and spots are limited, so go nab them here.

FYI, if you’re more of a fishy person, there are also private dining experiences at SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium.
