These Are The Top 20 Cities In Europe, As Voted By Travellers
Having already crowned Tokyo as the best city in the world, Condé Nast Traveler readers also cast their votes for their favourite cities in Europe in the publication’s 2016 Readers’ Choice Awards survey. Can you guess which country plays home to three of the cities in the top ten?
While classic destinations such as Paris and London made it to the pointy end of the list, it was our friends in Italy who absolutely slayed – Venice, Rome and this year’s winner Florence all rated highly with travellers.
Florence took out the first spot for remaining “unrivalled in history, art and architecture” while undergoing a “modern makeover” with hybrid cooking/design schools and modern art galleries.
While in Italy, we very much recommend checking out the newly opened free red wine fountain and the gelato museum, because living your best life is important.
Austria also has two cities in the top 20 with both its capital Vienna and the city of art Salzburg placing in the list.
