A common thought process while watching Game of Thrones: ‘That sure is a lot of blood’, ‘Ugh Cersei’ and ‘Wow, King’s Landing sure is pretty‘. While us regular fans are perfectly happy to sit and admire the beauty of Northern Ireland, or maybe even consider going on a Game Of Thrones walking tour while in Croatia, there are some serious buffs out there that are taking the whole “fan” thing to a new level.

Enter Tiia Öhman and Satu Walden and their fabulous website Fangirl Quest. These ambitious Finns have decided to visit a bunch of filming locations from their favourite movies and TV shows and capture iconic scenes in a process they like to call “sceneframing”. Sceneframing, as the girls say, is nothing new. It’s the process of visiting the exact location where a particular scene was shot and re-framing the scene over the landscape – but this time, they’re using modern technology like iPads to get the job done.

Their huge endeavour has seen the pair travel across the world to capture key scenes from shows like Sherlock, Doctor Who, Breaking Bad and The Walking Dead and even films like Forrest Gump, Star Trek and Pirates of the Caribbean. The team even crowd-funded a road trip across the US that saw them hanging out on the set of Supernatural. Way jealous.
