The World’s First Dr Seuss Museum Is Here And It Is Wonderful

If green eggs, ham and cats wearing hats are your thing, you’re in luck: the world’s first Dr Seuss museum is opening this month.

Opening on June 2 in Springfield, Massachusetts, The Amazing World Of Dr Seuss will celebrate the life and legacy of the legendary Massachusetts native.

Real name Theodor Seuss Geisel, the children’s author published more than 60 books during his beloved and prolific career.

More than just celebrating his books, the museum will also offer a rare glimpse into his personal life, including recreating his home (complete with the doodles he adorned his walls with), the Springfield Zoo where his father worked, and a real Seuss Bakery, in which children can actually bake edible pies, in an homage to the bakery his grandparents operated

The Springfield Museums is a cluster of four museums – art, history, science, and now, Dr Seuss. There, you’ll also find the Dr Seuss Memorial Sculpture Garden, which opened in the early 1990s following his death in 1991.
