So we’ve figured out the world’s best cities – but what about where to find the best looking locals? Every trip inevitably comes with a few great hours of people watching, so it would help to know where travellers have found the most attractive people across the globe because, well, what’s travel without a cheeky perv? Enter Conde Nast‘s annual readers’ poll.
The American-based magazine has asked its readers to rank where the world’s most attractive people live and thankfully, we now have the answers. It’s important to note that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so you should probably take this list with a grain of salt.
In saying that, Paris was the all-out winner, and to be honest, it’s not much of a surprise. The city of love has earned it’s reputation of beauty thanks to the dominance of high fashion and a collective of people determined to live up to its standards. For instance, you just don’t see people popping down to the shops in trackies and thongs in Paris – it’s high heels and a blazer or bust.
Sydney came in at number #2, with Conde Nast readers noting that the prominence of beaches, a picture perfect harbour and a vibrant food and art scene are the main reasons the people of Sydney live such tanned, sporty and cosmopolitan lives.
This crowning means Sydneysiders can now walk with their heads held high knowing that tourists think they’re some of the best looking locals in the world. Ace job, babes.
