The Sunshine Coast’s Maroochy Music Festival Has Released Its Epic 2016 Lineup
Returning with gusto this September, Maroochy Music and Visual Arts Festival is a cacophony of visual delights held on Queensland’s ever popular Sunshine Coast.
They’ve just released their amazing 2016 lineup which features the likes of Matt Corby, dance music party boys Peking Duk, Adelaide wordsmith Allday as well as local heroes George Maple, Client Liaison, City Calm Down, Ngaiire, Boo Seeka, Bad//Dreems and more. Don’t worry about clashes though, there’s only one stage – and boy is she a beauty. This massive amphitheatre will play host to all your favourite acts which you’ll be able to enjoy seated on comfy couches littered across the arena.
MMVAF’s Champagne and Oyster Garden also boasts local talent like jazz-pop singer Inigo, futuristic shoegaze duo Forevr and Melbourne punks BATZ, who will help you settle in to an evening sunset sesh.
For the visual arts portion of MMVAF, artist/musician Bertie Blackman and installation artist Amanda Parerwill be showcasing her work. There will be a bunch more to explore on the day, all falling in line with the festival’s fantastical, surreal and magical themes. This is set to be one arts-heavy, sun-drenched Sunshine Coast spectacular not to be missed.
