Could You Charm Your Way Into This Exclusive Hidden Bar?

Melbourne takes a lot of pride in its bar scene and for good reason. The best Melbourne bars are hidden away and The Store Room is no exception. It’s seriously peak Melbourne.

For anyone who loves low lighting, great cocktails and the feeling of being transported back in time, we recommend hunting down Melbourne’s recently relaunched barbershop-turned-speakeasy in the backstreets of St Kilda.

The Store Room requires guests to dial up an automated phone sitting inside the doorway to request entry. It’s very exclusive and seeking it out is part of the fun.

Once you’re in, you’ll find yourself surrounded by an eclectic mix of collectables from an ’80s Mickey Mouse telephone to an Arne Jacobsen armchair.

Whether you’re kicking off the night or stopping by for kick-ons, the cocktail list is elaborate and the menu shows a love of Australian spirits and local produce. Want fare to accompany your tipples? The Store Room has you sorted with a selection of cheeses, cold meats and a killer jaffle special to keep you going.

It’s a hidden gem well worth a visit. You can find The Store Room at 2-12 St Kilda Road in Melbourne.
