The Most Instagrammable Pop Up Of All Time Is Coming To Sydney This Month

The Grounds of Alexandria is probably the coolest “slashie” in Sydney – it’s a coffee roastery/cafe/sustainable garden based in the inner west suburb of Alexandria. On site, there’s a coffee research facility, an artisan bakery, a huge garden of heirloom veggies, herbs, fruit and flowers, and even a small animal farm. The delicate plates of colourful food plus the amazing surrounds of the urban garden make it one of the most Instagrammable spots in Sydney, and now it’s hitting the road to join forces with another extremely photogenic Sydney institution.

The Grounds are packing up all their goodies and heading to Bondi to once again take part in Sculpture By The Sea for 2015. Get ready for an engaging, creative and photo-worthy exhibition of food, fun and more.

This year, The Grounds will be setting up a cafe at Mark’s Park in Bondi called The Grounds By The Sea with an out-of-the-ordinary house on a hill – a house that the gang have spent a few months creating. The menu, while mostly under wraps at the moment, is said to include legendary Grounds burgers, slow-cooked lamb shoulder wraps and Grounds sausage sandwiches.

There will also be flavoursome drinks to match, including fresh juices, smoothies and Grounds Slurpees created in a specially made treehouse.

If that isn’t enough awesome for you, there’s also news that it’s all going to be expertly inspired by the likes of Lord Of The Rings and The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe. Yes, The Grounds are using both J. R. R. Tolkien’s and C. S. Lewis’ magical worlds as inspiration for their pop-up this October – so expect something whimsical and fun for both kids and kids at heart.
