Sydney’s Domain Is Hosting A Food Truck Party This Month, And It Almost Feels Like Old Times
Food, drinks and catching up with friends instantly becomes 162537 times more fun when they’re done outdoors, preferably at the same time. I don’t make the rules, I just write about them.
It’s great news for Sydney that The Domain will be hosting The Garden Social from today — a delightful mix Sydney’s best food trucks, a bar, live music and unbeatable views all rolled into one fun event.
Yup, from 5pm every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, as well as from 11am every Saturday and Sunday between January 13 and February 7, you can grab your mates and a picnic rug and head on over.

Each week will showcase different food trucks and different cuisines from around the world. According to the event website, some of the trucks you can expect to see include Urban Pasta, Agape, Rolling Schnitzel, Burgers G-Dup, JR Korean Chicken, Birdman, gelato and churros.

There’ll be a range of your faves at the bar, plus a Gin & Tonic Bar thanks to Fever-Tree. Apparently you’ll get to mix and match your mixers to find your perfect G&T, and frankly I’m here for it. Someone please pop them up in my kitchen, thank you.

Then all you have to do is unroll the picnic rug, sit back and enjoy your stash while a lineup of musos from Sydney’s Conservatorium of Music entertain you — everything from jazz to classical to contemporary songs.
And yes, before you ask, the outdoor event will be strictly following social distancing and other Covid guidelines, because it’s safety first in this new world of ours.
