Get $6 Espresso Martinis At This Pop-Up Bar In The Rocks

The Doss House Launches A Pop-Up Bar With Cheap Espresso Martinis

If you like long summer nights, outdoor dining in one of Sydney‘s most glam locations and criminally-cheap espresso martinis, your list of very specific desires is fulfilled. The Doss House in the Rocks has launched a pop-up bar serving $6 cocktails.

Running until February 9, the Dock Yard pop-up has taken over the sandstone courtyards around The Doss House, an underground haven for whiskey lovers. But outside, whiskey has been replaced by four classic cocktails, a thoughtfully selected list of Aussie wines and a few great beers.

Grey Goose espresso martinis will be served for just $6 from 4pm to 6pm every day. The other cocktails — an old fashioned, negroni and Aperol spritz — are served round the clock, but will cost you a few bucks more.

The Doss House is bringing its delish share platters to the pop-up, too. Pair your cheap cocktail with a cheese platter.

Pair that with a cheese board that comes with fresh and dried fruit, dips and sourdough or a charcuterie platter with kangaroo prosciutto. There are also three gourmet sandwiches on offer, including a vegetarian option with mixed veggies, feta and pesto.

The Dock Yard is inspired by the sailors and merchants who populated the area in the 1800s, so expect a vintage nautical vibe when you walk through the doors. Expect live music in the early afternoon, too, but no word on if this will be sea shanties or more modern tunes.

The bar is open from 4pm every Thursday to Sunday. Get there before doors close at midnight on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and 11pm on Sunday.

Summer is the season for pop-ups, like the bottomless prosecco fountain in Surry Hills and Wild Life Sydney Zoo’s all-you-can-eat dumpling sessions, where you can stuff your face surrounded by cute koalas.
