Each month, Fleming & Freear deconstruct a classic cocktail, delving into the origins of the drink, the history of different spirits and modern variations. Their final class for 2016 will be held on November 16 and focuses on the bubbly Bellini, invented by Giuseppe Cipriani in the 1930s.

It’s baseball at the beach! The Adelaide Bite is moving their new home base to the purpose-built Adelaide Shores Baseball Complex. Catch their first home game stint against the Melbourne Aces with four games across three days – Friday November 25, Saturday November 26 and Sunday November 27.
Uncover art in the most peculiar places
Adelaide is home to a number of indie galleries many visitors – even most locals – would likely overlook. Tucked down side streets or hidden in plain sight, they make for a great day’s meandering. Here are three of our favourites. The newly opened Peanut Gallery is a showcase for local and international emerging artists curated by a pair of local entrepreneurs. FELTSpace is an artist-run initiative nestled into the Adelaide Central Market/Chinatown precinct. Close by you’ll find another independent space, Floating Goose Studios, housing a gallery and workspace for local artists.
Emerging and disappearing seemingly on their own, public artworks create constant flux in the city landscape. We’ve caught word of two such works that will be appearing during November. Stop by Art Pod for Julia Robinson’s ‘Structure For Navigating An Unknown Afterlife’ and wander through Victoria Square/Tarntanyangga to catch Tom Borgas’ ‘Yves Klein Blue Spheres’.

Spend A Day on The Green, with wine
Summer means music festivals, and 2016 has a couple of real corkers. Something for Kate, You Am I, Jebediah, Spiderbait. This amazing all-Australian line-up has been rock-n-rolled into one massive concert at Peter Lehman Wines on November 19. Just a one-hour drive from Adelaide, The Barossa Valley is a perfect day-trip destination, or, stay a little longer to enjoy exquisite produce from the rich, fertile earth.
South Australia’s McLaren Vale is renowned the world over for its outstanding wines, but this November the region is pumping out pure Garbage. Yep, Shirley Manson and co. are headlining a new tour and will appear at Leconfield Wines on November 27 alongside support from Aussies Adilata, The Preatures and The Temper Trap.

Ride the oldest steel-railed railway in Australia
If you’re travelling south to the surf beaches around Middleton and Victor Harbour, make time for a ride on The Cockle Train. The traditional steam-powered locomotive chugs along the beautiful Fleurieu Peninsula connecting Goolwa and Victor Harbour, and offers uninterrupted ocean views. Operating every Sunday and Wednesday during November, the trip takes around 30mins (one-way).

The Mill’s Makers’ Market comes but twice a year. It’s the perfect place to kick off your Christmas shopping, featuring handmade one-of-a-kind furniture, clothing, shoes, prints, objects and more. Hosted in The Mill’s gallery on November 17, there’ll be music, booze, coffee and that glorious, tingly sensation you get form supporting your local community. Also popping-up this November is Etsy Made Local. Part of an ambitious, Australia-wide program happening on November 19, the market celebrates the crafters, collectors and artisans in their hometowns.
