Disney Has Released Drone Footage Of Its New ‘Star Wars’ Park And It’s Enormous

Star Wars land

When fantasy fans were told that, in 2019, we’d have the chance to explore a galaxy far, far away in a totally immersive Star Wars Land at Disneyland in California and Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, we all pretty much lost our minds.

Well, hold onto your lightsabers, friends, because Disney has released a brand new sneak peak at the park, and it looks out-of-this-world incredible.

The flyover video takes a tour over the construction site of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California, which is rumoured to have cost more than US$1 billion. And while we have to wait until next year to explore the park for ourselves, the video shows just how huge it’ll be.

“Both Star Wars-inspired lands will transport guests to a never-before-seen planet, a remote trading port and one of the last stops before Wild Space, where Star Wars characters and their stories come to life,” Disney reps previously revealed in a blog post.

It’s going to be “one of the most detailed and immersive lands ever created in Disney Parks history”, according to Disney representatives. It’s also the biggest single-themed land expansion in Disney history.

See you in 2019, Disney.
