We Finally Know What It’ll Be Like To Stay In Disney’s Star Wars Hotel

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opened in May this year, which was coincidentally the month that nerds everywhere got a new reason to travel. We knew there’d be an immersive Star Wars hotel eventually coming to the theme park, but all our burning questions about it were left on read – until now. We finally know what it will be like to stay at Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser.

Turns out, the Star Wars hotel is… not really a hotel. Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser is more like an adventure cruise than a simple building to rest your weary head in. Yes, you sleep here, but your stay is actually a two-day vacation within a vacation that simulates what it’s like to live in a galaxy far, far away.

You’ll board the Halcyon, a glamorous starcruiser known across the galaxy for its impeccable service and exotic destinations. First though, you’ll have to get into space – guests will check in at a special terminal at Walt Disney World and then blast off with the rest of the cruise members in a launch pod.

On board the Halcyon, you’ll get to live out their very own Star Wars story. A stay on Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser is like one big role-playing game, and your choices during your stay will help shape your story.

Do you want to learn how to wield a lightsaber? Of course you do! There are training courses where you can sharpen your skills. Have dreams of piloting your own journey through the stars one day? Visit the starcruiser’s bridge to learn how to fly it, and how to defend it in case the First Order attacks (hint hint).

There are even secrets to be found on the Halcyon that could affect your story, if you look hard enough.

We still don’t know the opening date for Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, but at least we know more about what a stay onboard this immersive hotel will actually involve. And may the force be with you while we wait.
