Sydney’s Getting A Lush Sparkling Wine Festival On The Harbour

A good 80 percent of photos of Sydney will include the Sydney Harbour, sparkling under the sun and just generally being very pretty. Now there’s a festival coming to the harbourside in Pyrmont that’s bringing some sparkles that you can, and definitely should if you’re able to, drink in abundance.

Sparkling Sydney is a brand-new food and wine festival that’s all about celebrating the best of bubbles: they’ve got prosecco, they’ve got bellinis, you better believe they have sparkling cuvee, shiraz, pinot chardonnay, moscato, malbec and a big ol’ wine bucket-load more. All up, there are more than 60 kinds of sparkling wine to try. Bubbles up!

There’ll also be sparkling craft beer and ale from Little Creatures and Six Strings Brewing Co, and the Fever-Tree Gin and Tonic Garden Bar will be serving up G&Ts made with some of the finest spirits in the land, including the enigmatic Green Ant gin. Stop by the Bellini Cipriani Bar to try Prosecco mixed with fresh Mediterranean white peach, brought all the way here from Venice’s famous Harry’s Bar.

As always, make sure you eat plenty between drinks – there’ll be Loaded Hummus with your choice of toppings from Safran Restaurant, dumplings from Blue Eye Dragon, gnocchi with your choice of traditional Italian sauces from Sir Knuckles, vegan treats from Yulli’s and loads more.

Head to the market to pick up some charcuterie and cheese from La Bastide, award-winning salamis from Goose on the Loose and desserts like honeycomb, eclairs and chocolate-dipped strawberries from various stalls. There’s even a champagne soap from Loveshak that we’re very much interested in.
