South Australia Is Giving Away $100 Hotel Vouchers For All Aussies, So Time To Book A Trip

Now that domestic travel is starting to return to a more normal level in our lives (HALLELUJAH), several states have announced Government-led schemes to boost money back into tourism and hospitality, and frankly I’m happy to oblige.

South Australia was one of those states, announcing a plan to hand out $100 vouchers to Aussie travellers (or Adelaide locals) looking to spend time in Adelaide or North Adelaide. They sold out pretty damn quick, but mates, they’re back again TODAY, January 5, from 11am ACDT.

Just like last time, there’ll also be $50 vouchers for suburban and regional South Australia, so no-one misses out.

After the second round of this initiative, Premier Steven Marshall told The Advertiser that the Great State Voucher scheme is intended to pump up the tourism industry over summer.

“We know the summer holidays are traditionally a peak period for our tourism operators, and we are acting now to give travellers another incentive to visit our world-class regions and CBD,” he said.

The newest vouchers are eligible for travel from January 7 to March 31 in 2021, but won’t include Saturday nights — which is fair enough.

The first round of vouchers, with an estimated worth of $4 million — which was offered exclusively to SA residents — sold out in just 90 minutes, according to The Advertiser. I don’t need to tell you, that’s pretty damn fast. It also means you’ll want to get in pretty quick for the second round seeing as the whole of Australia can get involved.

There will also be further announcements about exactly which participating accommodation providers are getting involved, but SA has promised some of then are brand new openings.

You can keep an eye out for updates and nab your vouchers right here.
