This “buttery and chunky” pie (according to the bakers) showcases Young Henry’s brew, Motor Oil Porter, amongst tender beef chunks, mushrooms, onions, celery, carrots and red capsicum.

After cooking the beef, Sonoma allows it to braise in Young Henry’s beer until the meat falls apart. It’s not just a unique and tasty flavour in the filling though, they’ve also made the dough with butter pate brisee and Motor Oil beer, giving it a unique colour and bitterness.

Is this a contender for Australia’s next best pies list? It’s hard to see how it couldn’t be. Look out, Victoria.

As part of the range, they’ll also be adding a new pork, apple and carrot sausage roll, a curried veggie sausage roll, three new quiches and a range of empanadas.
