Sip Rosé All Day At This Brand New Festival Coming To The Gold Coast

Whether you're at home or on the road, there's no excuse to miss AWOL ever again. Sign up to our newsletter, and follow us on Instagram.

There are many reasons to visit the Gold Coast — sunshine, beaches, bars, delicious tastes at hipster cafes etc etc. There’s also plenty of reason to drink rosé — sunshine, beaches, bars, delicious tastes etc etc. So putting them together and throwing a rosé festival on the Gold Coast is a hard yes from me.

On Saturday May 1, the inaugural, one day Rosé Coast Gold Coast festival will hit Kurrawa Beach, right next to the famous Broad Beach.

Ticket holders will get to indulge themselves on a huge variety of rosé from over 20 wine growing regions around Australia, including prosecco, sparkling rosé, rosatos and frosé.

If you’re not a fan of rosé though (not possible), Co-Producer and Creative Director Kristen Francis says there’ll be other bevvie options.

“These will be complemented by alternative options such as sparkling, red and white wine, Brookie’s Byron Gin, Brix Distillers from Sydney, Matso’s Brewery and Gage Roads Brew Co. from WA, along with the Wine Selectors Discovery Bar, all matched with a carefully curated gourmet food offering by Gold Coast legends, In Season Catering”.

Obviously you should never drink on an empty stomach (we aren’t amateurs here) so like Kristen said, you can also feast on  locally sourced produce like cheese and charcuterie platters, freshly shucked oysters, burgers, seafood, Italian and more.

In between stuffing your face, there’ll also be something of a beach party for you to join. Besides live DJs all day, there’ll be a range of beach games and masterclasses to keep you busy, like Silent Disco Drops (matching wine to music), Pinot & Picasso art classes, sand sculpting and more.

Or just max out on relaxation and good vibes with a massage and skin consultation at Endota Spa Broadbeach.

The most shocking part though, considering how these beer and wine festivals usually require a pretty penny, is the ticket price. They’re only $49 (i.e. probably going to sell out pretty quickly). They go on sale from February 22, and you’ll nee to subscribe here to the Festival for access.
