World’s Greatest Cat, Pusheen, Gets Her Own Café In Singapore

Pusheen is opening a new cafe in Singapore

Pusheen, star of a thousand Facebook messenger stickers and viral animated cat celeb of our hearts, is a bit of an entrepreneur.

Ever since being brought to life by creative duo Claire Belton and Andrew Duff way back in 2010, the adorably po-faced, plus-sized tabby has moved from strength to strength. She’s been profiled as part of a museum exhibit; been immortalised in plushy form; and has amassed over nine million friends on her Facebook.

Now, as part of her slow but steady global takeover, Pusheen has announced a brand new café.

The Pusheen Café is set to launch in Singapore early in the new year. As one can imagine, the place looks like it’ll be absolutely adorable – it’ll be styled in Pusheen’s favourite colours, light blue and pink, and will be adorned in pictures of the feline CEO herself.

Then there’s the food.

The menu boasts three cat-themed, carbalicious mains, suiting its loaf of a boss: a truffle spaghetti; a Pusheen-shaped bed of charcoal rice, surrounded by fried chicken, salad and sauce; and a shrimp burger, with (what else?) Pusheen-shaped buns.

The food has all been designed by Instagram queen Little Miss Bento, well-known for her adorable, delectable creations.

It’s also really affordable: menu items cost as little as US$9.90 (AU$14), and as much as $23.90 (AU$34).

Pusheen, never one to let a merchandise opportunity out of her sight, will also be selling her wares at the pop-up café. Some of the menu items come with collectable cards, but there’ll also be an opportunity to dish out more cash for plushies and memorabilia.

Be warned though – the café won’t be around for long. It’ll launch on Sunday January 6, but it’ll be all closed up some time in March. So, true Pusheen fans would be wise to start booking their flights to Singapore sooner rather than later.
