Score Free Accommodation Around The World For Looking After These Cute Cats
We very much mean to alarm you when we say — it’s International Cat Day today, friends! And what better way to celebrate this most blessed day than with the news you can travel around the world for free in exchange for pet sitting and cuddling some cute cats.
TrustedHousesitters is a house and pet sitting network that offers members accommodation in houses all over the world in exchange for looking after the homeowner’s pets. It’s like The Holiday, but with pets instead of Jude Law. Fair trade IMHO.
It’s a win/win/win situation. You get a home away from home and a new animal companion. The owners get peace of mind, and the animals get unconditional love, support, food, walks, pats, playtime, everything.

A yearly membership to TrustedHousesitters costs $99, and lets you apply for an unlimited amount of pet sitting visits. You’ll get access to thousands of pets and houses all around the world, all year round.
To celebrate International Cat Day, we’ve rounded up some of the best pet sitting holidays around, with the most adorable cats and their incredible homes:
#1 Leo the Persian in Cronulla, Sydney
Leo lives in a luxury waterfront apartment and I’m not at all jealous. He’s a laidback kitty who just wants food and love — same, Leo.
A stay in Leo’s pad will see you feed, groom and play with him every day. Sydney is the perfect neighbourhood for a summer getaway, with gorgeous beaches, coastal walks and sunny vibes around every corner.
#2 Fyfie and Nikki the dynamic duo in Whitsundays, Queensland

These two playful pals have got it made, and so will you if you stay with them. “They love attention and will happily play with you for as long as you let them,” says their owner, who might just be the greatest saleswoman ever.
#3 Mynyx and Tigris in the suburbs of London
If you can’t decide between a getaway in the heart of London or the English countryside, Mynyx and Tigris will make your mind up for you. Their house in leafy Chiswick in West London is totally adorable.
Mynyx the Maine Coon is chill as long as she gets a chin run in the morning and evening. Tigris the Bengal likes to play fetch and being wrapped up in newspaper.
#4 Tallulah and Arnie the New York socialites
#5 Butler and Queenie living their best Downton Abbey life in the UK
These two Bengals love racing around their converted haybarn country retreat, and prefer to relax with a good lie down in your lap. They live in a small village in Alford Crossways, England, where you’ll have access to cute shops, coffee spots and a nearby local pub.
All they ask is that you feed them, let them into the “catio” to play, and love them. Yes ma’am, whatever you say ma’am.
#6 Socky, Shmoke, Mojo and Bijoux the Kiwi rescue cats
These guys are all rescues, so they might be a bit shy around you at first. But once they get to know you, you’ll have four new furry friends for life.
They live in a quirky beach cottage in Kai Iwi, on New Zealand’s North Island. It’s nearish to Wellington, a city we’re seriously obsessed with, and two Great Walks — Whanganui Journey and the Tongariro Northern Circuit.
