Love Isn’t Dead! Research Says One In 50 Travellers Find Their Soulmate While On A Flight
Are you unlucky in love? Perhaps your Tinder flames all turn out to be duds, your Bumble game is pretty weak, and the bar scene just isn’t for you. Well, we have some good news for you, friend! You’re not cursed, you’re just looking for love in all the wrong places.
Turns out if you’re looking for The One, you might have a better chance finding them in the skies than here on land.

According to a survey from financial services company HSBC – which asked more than 5000 travellers from 141 different countries about their onboard connections – one in every 50 travellers has met the love of their life on a plane.
You could say that love is in the air (literally).
Has this happened to me, personally? No. I get on the plane and go into my zone — which basically means I’m sleeping or watching free movies. But I have watched it happened, thanks to a particularly cheeky air host who wing manned HARD for two people sitting a few rows away from each other. I have no idea if they were soulmates, but I can confirm they went through customs together. Ain’t love grand.
The survey, which was conducted in July, 2018, also revealed that 16 percent of travellers formed a business connection on a flight and 14 percent made long-lasting friendships with fellow passengers.
