A Movie Date Will Only Cost You $7.50 This Week At These Aussie Cinemas

There are a few guarantees in this world: we have to pay taxes, The Simpsons will run forever, and seeing a movie at the cinema is expensive. But Palace Cinemas are shaking things up with $7.50 movie tickets for a few days this month.

Now that we’ve had our grip on reality shattered by this news, we can appreciate it for what it is – a really, really good deal and a really cheap way to see a movie.

Palace Cinemas, the gold standard of cinemas in Aus to be honest, are slinging cheap movie tickets our way from June 13 to 18. You can see any flick for just $7.50, plus a $1.50 booking fee. Even with the fee, that’s a movie ticket for $9 which is, by my expert maths skills, way cheaper than it normally costs to see a new release on the big screen.

Put the cash you save towards an extra-large bucket of popcorn. Use it to buy one of Palace Cinemas’ killer cocktails! Get another cheap movie ticket with it. I dunno, you do you! Just letting you know, though, that you can often take wine into the cinema with you.

The $7.50 movie tickets are on sale now, and the deal applies to every film screening between June 13 and 18. That means you can gaze longingly at Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson in Men in Black: International on the big screen and catch other new releases like X-Men: Dark Phoenix, RocketmanGodzilla II: King of the MonstersTolkien and Aladdin for only $7.50.

The only things not covered by the deal are first-class Platinum sessions, film festival screenings and sessions at The Astor in St Kilda, Melbourne. Otherwise it’s fair game at any Palace Cinemas venue in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Brisbane, Byron Bay, Adelaide or Perth.

Check out Qantas flights to begin your next adventure.
