Now You Can Skydive The Grand Canyon

Jumping out of a plane over any location is pretty great (or terrifying, depending on your comfort with heights), but when you get a bird’s eye view over of the greatest wonders in the world? Now, that’s pretty special.

Brave punters can now free-fall from around 4500 metres in the sky at speeds of 199 kilometres per hour overlooking the Grand Canyon in Arizona. The skydiving experience, which began in March, can be done through Paragon Skydiving, and begins at the Grand Canyon International Airport. Thrill-seekers are taken on a short 20 minute plane ride to a dropping point just south of the canyon’s rim.

Paragon Skydiving are the first company to be approved for tandem skydiving by the Grand Canyon, and although it won’t be taking place directly over the canyon (there’s regulations against that) you will get a pretty incomparable view of it while you’re plummeting towards earth.
