24-Hour Party White Night Is Set To Light Up Another Aussie City

The regional Victorian town of Ballarat will be hosting their very own White Night in 2017.

If you need a little refresher, White Night is Australia’s contribution to the world-renowned phenomenon of Nuit Blanche. The event is a music, visual arts, illuminations, food, theatre, film, design and performance free-for-all that transforms the city’s public spaces, laneways, parklands and institutions into canvases for one night only.

Ballarat will be joining the likes of Paris, Toronto, Melbourne and São Paulo in this international network of overnight celebration, and it’s aiming to bring thousands of visitors to the regional town.

Ballarat’s city centre will be handed over to artists for light and laser beam projections across some of the city’s most striking streetscapes. Adding to that, there’ll be street performers and food stalls to entertain visitors well into the wee hours.
