Netflix Is Presenting An Open-Air Screening Of ‘Chef’s Table’ At An Aussie Winery

Since its release in 2015, popular Netflix series Chef’s Table has delved into the lives of some of the world’s most celebrated chefs.

Created by filmmaker David Gelb, the oddly riveting documentary series touches on what makes these chefs tick; their successes, failures, motivations and secrets. It’s juicy stuff, and beautifully shot, meaning anyone with even the slightest interest in food tends to get absorbed in no time.

But forget binging it on the couch in your tracksuit pants; Happs Winery in Margaret River will be transformed into the ultimate open-air Netflix cinema, screening episodes of Chef’s Table under the stars, surrounded by wine, complete with appearances from two of the revered chefs featured in the show.

The screenings are a part of the Margaret River Gourmet Escape, and they’ll be attended by international award-winning chefs and Chef’s Table talent Ana Roš (from Hiša Franko, Slovenia) and Dominique Crenn (from Atelier Crenn and Petit Crenn, USA). Self-trained chef, Ana is one of Slovenia’s best chefs and has spent the last 16 years revolutionising her country’s food. She’ll be joined French-born Dominique Crenn who runs Michelin-starred restaurants in San Francisco, and was named ‘The World’s Best Female Chef’ by World’s 50 Best Restaurants.

The hugely talented duo will host the screening, which will feature their episodes from season two of Chef’s Table, and follow up with a Q&A discussing their inspirations for becoming chefs, their food philosophies and the power of family and love as their main driving forces to produce some of the world’s most mind-blowing food.
