Hotel bathrooms aren’t usually much to look at. Most of us are happy with decent shower pressure and a working hair dryer. Meanwhile, at the other end of the scale, you’ve got the world’s most Instagrammed bathrooms.
UK company Mira Showers (yes, they make showers) scrolled through thousands of Instagram feeds to find the world’s top photographed hotel bathrooms.
Their search included posts that used any of the top five bathroom-related hashtags. If you used #bathroomgoals, #bathroomsoftheworld, #hotelbathroom, #bathtubgoals or #bathroomview, they probably saw your post.
So what’s the defining characteristic of all the most-tagged bathrooms? Well, they come with a hefty price tag for a night’s stay.
Here’s five standout bathrooms from the company’s findings.
Conrad Maldives, Rangali Island, Maldives
The study identified the Conrad Maldives, specifically its Sunset Water Villa, as having the most Instagrammed bathroom. Looking out to the crystal clear water surrounding Rangali Island, this is a seriously luxe toilet situation.
Punta Tragara Hotel, Capri, Italy
You’ll need to travel high into the rugged peaks of Capri to enjoy this bathroom. The picture-perfect island in the Bay of Naples is all about jaw dropping views. This one, overlooking the Faraglioni rocks of Capri, is definite #bathtubgoals.
Six Senses Zil Pasyon, The Seychelles
Understandably, this bathroom also gets a lot of Insta love. Six Senses Zil Pasyon is located on a private island in The Seychelles. Getting there isn’t exactly quick and easy for Australians, so we might have to admire it from afar.
The Udaya Resorts & Spa, Bali
This Bali getaway has cornered the key to Instagram success. Meaning a bathtub with lots and lots of bright petals.
Zannier Hotels Sonop, Namibia
This hotel occupies a remote nature reserve in the Namibian desert, but it’s high on creature comforts. The accommodation is essentially high-end tents – complete with a bath you’ll never want to leave.
