Strap On Your Snowboots, Qantas Has Launched Direct Flights From Melbourne To Queenstown
Start planning your winter holiday now, friends. One of our top picks is Queenstown‘s ski season. The snowy slopes of New Zealand‘s South Island bring keen adventurers from all across Australia every year. And now it’s even easier to get there, with Qantas launching new direct Melbourne to Queenstown flights for the winter season.
Three new direct flights will operate each week from June 21 to August 27, 2019. Each Tuesday, Friday and Sunday, eager skiers and snow-lovers will be able to fly Melbourne to Queenstown direct.

Qantas says it’s listened to its customers and recognised that more and more Victorians are travelling to Queenstown for the winter season. These new seasonal flights will make a trip to the ski fields much easier and maximise the time spend on the slopes.
With all the time you save, you’ll be able to perfect a sweet snowboarding trick or just enjoy a leisurely, après-ski hot chocolate.
The new Melbourne to Queenstown flights are in addition to the existing Qantas direct route from Sydney, meaning the airline will be moving more than 10,000 seats to and from the South Island holiday hot-spot (cold-spot?) for this year’s winter season.
Queenstown is an adrenaline junkie’s dream, so why not check out some of the exhilarating things that Queenstown has to offer when you step off the slopes, like being catapulted across the Nevis Valley (safely!) or some truly weird and wonderful junk food.
