If you’re a cocktail fan, get ready to bow down to the mother of all mixed drinks – these cocktails are simply enormous.
Magic Hour Rooftop Bar and Lounge, found on the top floor of the Moxy Hotel in Midtown, New York City, serves up the Pick Your Potion spritz cocktail for brunch on Saturdays and Sundays starting at 11.30am. Settle in for an à la carte meal of pastries, granola, eggs, pasta, chia puddings or cheesecake and pair it with any number of cocktails.
[related_articles]62534,53917[/related_articles]The Pick Your Potion comes with the heft price tag of US$195 (AU$265 – ooft) but it’s totally worth it when you’re sharing it with your friends (it serves 15 – about AU$18 each). It contains half a bottle of Belvedere Vodka or Volcán De Mi Tierra Tequila Blanco (you can pick, hence the name), half a bottle of Aperol, finished with prosecco and Owen’s Grapefruit Lime Sparkler plus a garnish of grapefruit and lemon. Stick a few straws in and drink up.
You can also order the Disco Ball For All shared cocktail, which is made with Absolut Elyx and Bajan Tiki Punch for US$250 (AU$340). It also served 15 at about $22 a pop.
And that’s not everything! The whole bar is “urban amusement park” themed, with miniature putt putt, views of the Empire State Building and “Circo Thursdays” from 10pm, with vampy Cirque performers.
