Kristen Bell & Dax Shepard’s Holiday Video From Africa Is Epic

In the next instalment of ‘celebrities are strange and amazing creatures’, superlative humans Kristen Bell and her husband Dax Shepard have just released a video of themselves lip-synching – with great sincerity, might I add – to Toto’s ‘Africa’ in front of various magical backdrops during a trip they took to the continent before the birth of their two daughters (who are now aged one- and two-years-old).

The video – which you can and should watch below – involves a hazy bath montage, an impassioned round of the chorus in the pouring savannah rain, and what has to be the most epic air-pan-flute solo of all time, performed in front of an onlooking gorilla. Literally, nothing has ever made me want to go to Africa more.

The YouTube it’s been uploaded to (owned by “Dan”, not Dax, Shepard) states: “This was our last trip before having kids. Our sole objective was to rage hard and honour Toto properly. Hope you enjoy :)”

The seminal ’70s soft rock band has yet to reply, but this masterpiece gets a firm tick of approval from our end. Unfortunately the video doesn’t detail the countries it was filmed in, making the copycat version we’re working on a little harder to plan. Drats.
