Iceland Just Released ‘The World’s Hardest Karaoke Song’ To Test Travellers

Iceland is known as the land of fire and ice, where active volcanoes and monstrous glaciers live side-by-side. But, aside from its abundance of natural marvels, the locals are pretty impressive in their own right, speaking one of the world’s most difficult languages on the daily.

Now, the Icelandic tourism board has released a new video, dubbed “The World’s Hardest Karaoke Song”, challenging travellers to keep up with the complex dialect and, damn, it’s catchy.

How’d you go? If you’re anything like us, you will have fumbled within the first 30 seconds.

The video works through the 32 letters of the Icelandic alphabet while covering some of the language’s most common words and phrases. They include malarvegir (gravel roads) and töskur (luggage).
