You’ve Gouda Be Kidding: The Westin Is Doing A Cheesy Take On High Tea

When it comes to British traditions, not much can beat a boozy afternoon tea sipping champagne while downing scones and finger sandwiches. Well, that was until The Westin, Melbourne straight-up changed the game by introducing – wait for it – High Cheese.

Sweet Cheesus, Melbourne. Absolutely un-brie-lievable stuff.

Yep, the hotel has partnered with local artisan cheese maker Maker & Monger to bring you the most extra take on a high tea experience.

High Cheese will feature three tiers of stunning cheeses, showcased in both sweet and savoury dishes, proving that cheese is in fact the most versatile (and delicious) food known to man. Think scones served with creamed Giorgio Cravero Reggiano (uh, the best cheese ager in the whole world), tiramisu with a cheesy twist and cannoli with ricotta filling.

No event like this would be complete without a cheese board, right? There will be whole baked Normandy Camenbert with mini baguettes, French Brie with crackers, and seriously, more cheese than you can poke a breadstick at.
