Puppy Cuddles Are Part Of The Service At This San Fran Hotel

Have you ever sat in your hotel room, thinking, “Gee, what I’d really love right now is to cuddle a puppy”? Haven’t we all?

Well, you can – if you know where to stay. The Hotel Nikko San Francisco appointed a COO – a “Canine Operating Officer” – in 2015, who’s responsible for providing hotel guests with boops and bleps upon request.

Here’s how it works: Once they’ve checked in, guests will find a stuffed dog and a card instructing them how to purchase the toy (they’re $29 each, with all proceeds donated to a local shelter) or book a “meet and greet” with the real thing.

If they opt for the latter, COO Buster Posey Presutti meets guests at the outdoor patio, where they can cuddle, play or dole out belly rubs.

Buster is a therapy dog, so he’s happy to hang out with basically anyone – even other dogs. The Hotel Nikko San Francisco is pet-friendly, so Buster is also available to play with travelling pooches who need a little canine company.

If you’re travelling with your four-legged friend, dogs stay on the VIP – Very Important Pet – floor, where they’re treated to a bed, bowl and treats from $65 (USD$50) per night.
