A ‘Harry Potter’-Inspired Escape Room Has Opened In Melbourne

Harry Potter, escape room

Still waiting on that letter from Hogwarts? Well, the time for you to prove your exceptional wizarding abilities has finally arrived, because a Harry Potter-inspired escape room has popped up at TRAPT in Melbourne.

TRAPT Bar and Escape Rooms is famous for its fully immersive and intense escape room experiences. There’s an Alice in Wonderland-themed room, a Prohibition-themed room, an Espionage-themed room and, now, the Harry Potter-inspired Alchemy room.

Once inside, you’ll have the chance to practise spells and enchantments and test your magical skills. As time slips away, you’ll be tasked with discovering the Philosopher’s Stone before time runs out.

The coolest part is there are two identical alchemy rooms, meaning if you wrangle enough mates, you can compete against each other and have the clock determine who’d be the best witch or wizard, once and for all.

Wizarding is work. That’s why TRAPT’s bar will be slinging a range of delicious brews, including a non-alcoholic butterscotch beer and kinds of devilishly elaborate cocktails.

The menu features the Exhibito Noctis, with cardamom and blueberry-infused rum, the Potion of Fire, with spiced rum that’s bound to get you fired up and the Friends Philtre, a zesty mix made for sharing.

Escape room experiences start at $80 for two people and can be booked online.
