Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop Empire Is Expanding From Vagina Candles To Cruises

Gwyneth Paltrow, Goop cruise

It’s big news this week for both cruise lovers and adherents to the sketchy wellness ponderings of Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop. If you fit into that extremely niche overlap, you’ll be glad to hear that the company is taking its wellness approach to live onboard a cruise around the Mediterranean.

All you people fond of jade eggs and vagina candles give yourself a high five.

The cruise is a partnership between Goop and Celebrity Cruises, their second such collaboration. Guests on the voyage will be welcomed with an opening address and interview by Goop queen herself, Gwyneth Paltrow, and take part in various wellness sessions. These include a mind session, focusing “on mental health, the power of your mind, and creating immediate and lasting shifts in outlook”, a body session which looks like a regular exercise session, and a soul session – “an energetic experience, guided by a beloved spirituality teacher and designed to leave you feeling more grounded.”

You’ll also be treated to a range of “goopy surprises” and perks throughout the cruise. But be aware that to be eligible to join the goop part of the cruise, you will need to book a suite on voyage, and then book into the Goop sessions for an extra cost of US$750 (AU$1086). All the Goop elements of the cruise will take place on one day of the cruise. On other days, you’ll be doing regular cruise-y things like swimming, eating, visiting ports, or whatever, it’s up to you really.
