The Great Wall of China, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, is the longest man-made structure ever built. The almost-9000km-long wall snakes across the mountains of northern China.

While they say it would take around 18 months to walk it in its entirety, shorter walking tours of the iconic landmark operate daily. Getting to the summit of is always worthwhile and, fortunately, there are easier ways to make your way back than on foot.
